Hunter loves little brother
A LITTLE ABOUT HUNTER
Hunter was born in the Springtime, on Earth day, twelve years ago. This is very fitting for him because his favorite season is Spring-when nature comes alive again.
When he was an infant, he would push away and didn't want to be held. In order to get him to sleep, we had to rock him very fast and firm. In order to give him a haircut, I had to cut his hair when he was sleeping. In order to keep him happy I had to let him watch the wind blow the trees over and over again.
He is a very alert and hyper child with an intense imagination and creative energy.
Hunter was diagnosed with PDD-NOS, a form of autism at age six. Within this Autism Spectrum lies his struggles with Anxiety, higher order integrative agnosia and Seizure Disorder.
Drawing keeps him busy and keeps me sane.

Recently, Hunter was told by Dr. Darrold A.Treffert, M.D., an internationally known expert in Savant Syndrome, and consultant for the movie Rainman, that he is an Artistic Savant. He describes Hunter's art as being "very appealing and encouraging" and "he has a unique way of viewing the world, and that gets captured in his choice of subjects and the drawings themselves."
